Our vision

The Peer for Peer Foundation is dedicated to advancing transparency, identity, and anti-corruption efforts through innovative research and projects. We explore the potential of Triple Entry Accounting (TEA) to enhance auditability and prevent fraud using the technology which is the basis of blockchain. Our Identity project examines the evolution of digital and self-sovereign identities, ensuring privacy and security via decentralized systems. Lastly, our "Understanding Corruption" Research project uncovers the systemic causes of corruption and evaluates tools for combating it. Together, these initiatives aim to foster a more transparent, accountable, and equitable world.

The Foundation Council

The Peer for Peer Foundation is currently composed of five founders: Ian Grigg, a financial cryptographer; Arthur Doohan, an engineer and banker; Kostantinos Sgantzos, a blockchain researcher and lecturer; Travin Keith, an entrepreneur, consultant, and advisor; and André Bonello, a researcher in the economic and social field.

The Foundation's Projects

At the Peer for Peer Foundation, we are deeply engaged in projects that push the boundaries of financial transparency, identity, and corruption research. Our work on Triple Entry Accounting (TEA) explores how blockchain-based accounting can enhance auditability and prevent fraud by introducing an immutable third-party transaction record. At the same time, we are developing an Identity Documentary that delves into the evolution of digital identity, self-sovereign identity (SSI), and the role of decentralized technologies in ensuring privacy and security. Additionally, our Understanding Corruption Research investigates the systemic roots of corruption, analyzing how financial systems, legal loopholes, and bureaucratic inefficiencies enable fraudulent activities while exploring blockchain and TEA as potential solutions. Through these initiatives, we strive to create a more transparent, accountable, and equitable future.

identity cycle by ian grigg

The Identity Cycle explores the evolution of identity, trust, and community in the digital age. It critiques state-issued identities, corporate control over personal data, and failed digital identity systems. The book argues that true identity emerges from trusted peer networks, using real-world examples like Kenyan chamas to illustrate decentralized, community-driven identity solutions.
